System administration Maarssen

System administration in Maarssen, between Utrecht and Amsterdam

On the Vecht and the Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal, the A2 and the railway to two big cities are close at hand. Businesses here increasingly work from the cloud, with people in the office, at home and with clients. Infodatek Group manages that environment as one whole, from Vianen on the same A2.

Cloud and office together

Management for an environment that no longer fits in one server cabinet

A company's IT used to sit in one cabinet in the office. Now the email is in Microsoft 365, the accounts run as an online service, there may still be a server for a specialist application, and colleagues work from Utrecht, Amsterdam or home. You see this in Maarssen at consultancies, at the trading businesses along the Nijverheidsweg and among the many small firms in the municipality. We keep all those parts together: accounts and access, servers and cloud, network and backup, and the arrangements with your suppliers, as one clear environment.

  • Microsoft 365, Azure and ANYBASE managed as part of your environment
  • One overview of accounts, permissions and online subscriptions
  • A backup of your cloud data, not just of your server
  • A fixed point of contact at Select IT in Vianen, easy to reach via the A2

No server room any more

System administration in Maarssen when everything is in the cloud

Plenty of businesses have said goodbye to their server, yet there is still a lot to manage. Who can access what? What happens to the account of someone who leaves? Are the Microsoft 365 security settings right, and who keeps them current when Microsoft changes something? Is there a copy of your email and files outside the service itself?

We manage your cloud environment as carefully as a server. We set up two-factor authentication and access rules, decide which devices may sign in, back up email and files and regularly check whether the settings still match the way you work.

Online services

A grip on your subscriptions, apps and integrations

A small business soon uses quite a few online services: an accounting package, a CRM, a planning tool, an app for timesheets. Each has its own accounts, licences and administrator, and some are connected to your Microsoft 365 environment.

We turn that into one overview: which services there are, who manages them, which integrations are running and which licences you actually use. New colleagues get the right access in one go, and people who leave are signed out everywhere. We agree with your suppliers who does what.

Retail and showrooms

IT for the shops and wholesalers on the Nijverheidsweg

The Maarssenbroek industrial estate is home to wholesalers, car dealers, kitchen showrooms and DIY stores. They combine a showroom or shop with a warehouse, a till system, a webshop and sometimes a workshop. Many of them are open on Saturdays too.

We tailor our management to that. Maintenance is planned outside your opening hours, the networks for shop, workshop and guest wifi are kept apart, and the server or cloud that holds stock and orders is monitored continuously. So sales in the showroom and online simply carry on.

Secure and in the Netherlands

Your data secure, and in the European Union if you wish

Security is not a separate project for us, but part of every week of management: updates, permissions, two-factor authentication and backups whose restore we practise. Infodatek Group holds ISO 27001 and NEN 7510, which you can show your own clients. If your clients want their data kept in the country, your servers run in ANYBASE, our private cloud in the European Union.

If NIS2 applies to your organisation, or your clients ask about it, Smart Compliance helps you keep track. One agreement for management and security at a fixed price per employee? You will find it in Digital Care.

Sectors

For the businesses of Stichtse Vecht

Between two big cities, the municipality has its own mix: many service providers and small firms, trade along the A2 and recreation on the water.

Consultancy and business services

Consultants, agencies and advisers work for clients in Utrecht, Amsterdam and the rest of the country. We make sure their cloud environment is set up securely, that sharing with clients is well arranged and that they can show how they handle data.

Transport and wholesale along the A2

Wholesalers and transport companies are based at De Corridor, Merwedeweg and Keulschevaart in Breukelen. We manage the servers and integrations behind their orders and planning, and keep the network in office and warehouse stable.

Healthcare and wellbeing

GPs, physiotherapists and other practices in the residential districts work with medical data. With our NEN 7510 certification as the basis, we protect that data and keep the practice system running calmly.

Hospitality and recreation on the Vecht

Restaurants, wedding venues and leisure businesses along the Vecht and at the Maarsseveense Plassen work with bookings, tills and guest wifi. We keep those systems reliable and separate, so staff can work comfortably and guests get online without fuss.

Service area

System administration in Maarssen and along the Vecht

Maarssen has two parts. Maarssen-Dorp lies on the Vecht, with the old centre and country estates along the water. On the other side of the Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal lies Maarssenbroek, with the newer districts and the industrial estate. Since 2011 the town has formed the municipality of Stichtse Vecht together with Breukelen and Loenen. The station is on the railway between Utrecht and Amsterdam.

From Vianen we take the A2 north past Utrecht. Day-to-day work happens remotely, and we gladly come by to get acquainted or for the strategy meeting. We also serve businesses in Breukelen, Oud-Zuilen, Tienhoven, Loenen aan de Vecht, Kockengen and the Utrecht district of Zuilen.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about system administration in Maarssen

We no longer have a server. Do we still need system administration?

Yes, although it looks different. Instead of a server, we manage your cloud environment: accounts, access rules, security settings, the devices allowed to sign in and the backup of email and files. The office network and the links between your online services are part of it too. No more hardware, then, but an environment that still deserves attention.

Our colleagues work in Amsterdam, Utrecht and at home. Can everyone reach our data securely?

Certainly. We set up access so that the location does not matter, but the device and the person do. Colleagues sign in with two-factor authentication, only approved and up-to-date devices get access, and files live in the cloud or on the server rather than loose on laptops. Someone at a client in Amsterdam works just as securely as a colleague at a desk in Maarssen.

Do you also back up Microsoft 365?

Yes. Microsoft keeps the service available, and we make sure you have your own copy of your email, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams. With it you can easily bring back a deleted folder or an older version of a file. We regularly test that restoring works. In Digital Care, Microsoft 365 backup is included in the editions from Start upwards.

Our shop on the industrial estate is also open on Saturdays. Do you take that into account?

Yes. We plan updates and maintenance for times when your shop is closed, and agree them with you beforehand. The till system, the webshop and the shop network are monitored continuously, and for work on site a colleague comes over from Vianen.

Wondering what Infodatek can do for you?
