System administration Leerdam

System administration in Leerdam, with craftsmanship close by

The glass town knows what craftsmanship means. You can expect the same from your IT management: careful, forward-thinking and no fuss. Infodatek Group takes care of your servers, network, backups and security from our office in Vianen, in the same municipality.

Why outsource

Your IT in the hands of a neighbour

Since 2019, Leerdam and Vianen have been part of the same municipality, Vijfheerenlanden. That makes us a neighbour for businesses on the Linge. In town you will find glass artists, shopkeepers and service providers, at Nieuw Schaik there are manufacturers, builders and hauliers, and in the countryside farmers and agricultural contractors. All of them need calm, reliable IT. Infodatek Group takes your system administration off your hands: we monitor your servers and network, keep everything up to date, take care of backup and recovery and look ahead with you.

  • Servers, network and cloud maintained, with backup and security included
  • One fixed contact from Vianen who gets to know your business
  • Production and office neatly separated, yet in one overview
  • Suitable for a small shop and for companies with their own IT person

Makers and manufacturers

System administration in Leerdam for businesses that make things

If you produce things, your environment often has two sides. The office runs the accounts, the planning and email. The workshop or factory floor has machines with their own computers, CAD software and sometimes cameras or measuring equipment. The two sides exchange data, but each has its own requirements.

We map both and set up the network so that production and office are separated, while still monitoring them in a single overview. Updates to systems on the shop floor are agreed with the machine supplier and carried out when production allows.

  • A separate network segment for machines and production
  • Backup of drawings, machine programs and settings
  • Servers and cloud for ERP and planning kept in good shape
  • Secure remote access for your suppliers

Small and independent

Also for the small business in Leerdam town centre

Not every business has a server room. Think of a glass studio with a webshop, a shop in the centre or a consultancy with a handful of people. Then it helps when someone else keeps the overview, leaving your time for your craft and customers.

We take care of the whole environment: from internet connection and Wi-Fi to backup, Microsoft 365 and the link with your webshop or till system. As you grow, the environment grows with you, without having to start over.

Step by step

From a faithful old server to an environment for tomorrow

Many businesses in the area have a server that has done its job faithfully for years. When it is due for replacement, we look at the options together: new hardware on site, moving to Microsoft 365, migrating to ANYBASE, our private cloud, or a combination. ANYBASE is housed in a data centre in the European Union with a Tier 3 designed set-up, and you can link it to Microsoft Azure where needed.

Together we draw up a plan with clear steps, and we move everything so your team notices as little as possible. Afterwards everything is documented, and in the strategy meeting we look ahead at what your business needs next.

Working securely

Security and NIS2, clearly arranged

Security is part of our daily management: updates, access rights, an up-to-date firewall and backups that we actually restore as a test. Because Infodatek Group is ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certified, you can show your own customers that your IT is managed with care.

Medium-sized and large companies in food production and parts of manufacturing may fall under NIS2. With Smart Compliance we help you work out what applies to you and how to arrange it. Prefer a single agreement at a fixed price per employee? Choose Digital Care.

Sectors

Business life in Leerdam and the surrounding area

The town is known for glass, but the economy is broader: food, engineering, construction, transport and healthcare, with farmland all around.

Glass, art and craft

Glassblowers, designers and galleries work with design files, photos of their work and often a webshop. We make sure all that creative work is stored safely and that sales and accounts run along without a hitch.

Food and dairy

Food businesses work with production systems, traceability and tight schedules. We manage the IT around them, keep production and office properly separated and help with the requirements NIS2 can place on medium-sized and large companies in the food chain.

Engineering and construction

Installers, metalworkers and builders have an office, a workshop and people on site. We make sure drawings, planning and job sheets are in one reliable place and that everyone can reach them securely, wherever they are working.

Healthcare and wellbeing

Practices, home care and welfare organisations handle medical and personal data every day. Our NEN 7510 certification and a carefully configured environment keep the practice system running reliably and the data with the right people.

Service area

System administration in Leerdam and the Vijfheerenlanden

Leerdam lies on the Linge, in the south-west of the province of Utrecht, between the A2 and the A27. The station is on the line between Dordrecht and Geldermalsen, and the Nieuw Schaik business park sits on the north side of town. Around the old centre and the Lingehaven you will find shops, studios and the Nationaal Glasmuseum.

From our office in Vianen, in the same municipality, it is a short drive to the glass town. We look after businesses in the centre, in the residential districts and at Nieuw Schaik, and in the villages of Schoonrewoerd, Kedichem, Oosterwijk and Hei- en Boeicop. Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about system administration in Leerdam

You are based in Vianen. Do you also come to Leerdam?

Yes. Vianen and the glass town are in the same municipality, so for us it is close by. We handle monitoring, updates and most questions from a distance. For an introduction, new equipment, a change on the shop floor or the strategy meeting, we are happy to visit when it suits you.

Our machines have their own computers. Do you include them in your management?

We include them in the overview and the documentation, so it is clear what is connected to your network. Often we place them in their own network segment, separate from the office. The software on the machine stays with the supplier, but we arrange secure remote access for them and coordinate updates.

There are five of us. Is system administration really for us?

Especially then. In a small team, someone often does the IT on the side, when that time would be better spent on customers or the craft. We take that over, with the same care we give larger companies. You agree on what you need, and as you grow, the management grows with you. Digital Care offers a fixed price per employee.

Do we need to do anything about NIS2 as a food business?

That depends on your size and activities. NIS2 focuses mainly on medium-sized and large organisations in certain sectors, and the production and processing of food is one of them. Smaller businesses sometimes notice it through their customers, who set requirements for suppliers. With Smart Compliance we find out what applies to you and put the steps into a clear plan.
