System administration in West-Brabant

System administration in Zundert, home of tree growing

Zundert is the largest tree nursery municipality in the Netherlands and lies right on the Belgian border. Growers, traders and hauliers here work across office, shed and field at the same time. We make sure the IT behind it moves with the seasons.

What you get

IT that keeps pace with the nursery

Outsourcing system administration means one party looks after servers, network, backups, security, updates, monitoring and cloud. In Zundert that often involves more than an office. There are sheds, container fields and plots, and in busy weeks many extra people join in. Infodatek Group has managed the IT of organisations in the Netherlands and Belgium since 2007. We make sure orders, stock and records can be reached safely from anywhere, at your desk and out on the nursery.

  • A stable network between office, sheds and outdoor areas
  • Capacity and access that grow with the lifting season
  • Secure connections with customers and colleagues in Belgium
  • A dedicated contact, with agri specialists in the team

Tree growing

System administration in Zundert for nursery, shed and office

A tree nursery is a business with many faces. Sales, accounts and planning run in the office. In the shed, orders are picked, labelled and made ready. And out in the field you want to be able to view and update your stock. We make all those places work on one reliable environment.

If you also have technology on the nursery, such as a greenhouse with a climate computer, Digital Care Agro can monitor it. That is our add-on to Managed Operations for horticulture and agriculture. Greenhouse network and office stay separate but appear in one overview.

  • Sales and stock software on a stable server or in the cloud
  • Wifi that reaches into the shed and across the yard
  • A daily backup of orders, customer data and stock photos

The season

Ready for the busy lifting season in Zundert

In tree growing, work is not spread evenly over the year. When the lifting season starts, orders, lorries and temporary staff all increase. Your systems then need to handle the extra users, and new people must be able to log in quickly and securely, with access only to what they need.

We prepare for that with you. Before the peak we look at capacity, licences and the network in the sheds. Major changes are planned in the quieter months. If you work with Digital Care Agro, invoicing can also follow the season.

On the border

Trade and logistics between Zundert and Belgium

Along the A16, right on the border, lies Business Centre Treeport: a business park for trade, logistics and knowledge around tree growing, with part of it on Belgian soil. Close by is Hazeldonk, which is also home to transport and distribution companies.

If you work here, you have customers, drivers and sometimes colleagues in two countries. We connect your sites securely, make sure outside users can reach only their own data and keep an eye on the links with buyers and hauliers. Meanwhile your data can simply stay in the European Union, in ANYBASE, the private cloud of Infodatek in a Tier 3 designed data centre.

How we work

Remote management, and on site when needed

Our monitoring follows your servers, storage and connections all day and alerts us early, so we solve most things remotely. If someone needs to come over, for a new shed or a renovation for example, we plan it outside your busiest weeks.

Your dedicated contact knows your business and your season, and in a regular strategy meeting we look ahead together. Security is naturally part of it: Infodatek Group is certified to ISO 27001 and NEN 7510. One agreement for everything? That is Managed Operations in Digital Care, at a fixed amount per employee.

Sectors

From grower to haulier

The local economy revolves largely around trees and plants, but there is more.

Tree nurseries

Growers of avenue and park trees, shrubs and young plants, in open ground and in containers. We make sure sales, stock and planning run reliably and that your data is stored safely every day.

Green trade and export

Trading companies that collect trees and plants and supply them at home and abroad. Their ERP, customer portals and links with hauliers need a stable environment that is well monitored.

Transport and logistics

Hauliers and distribution companies around the A16 and the border crossing at Hazeldonk. We manage their planning systems, servers and connections, and schedule maintenance for when the lorries are off the road.

Contracting and landscaping

Agricultural contractors and landscapers working on nurseries and on projects across the region. We make sure planning and records are safely stored in the cloud and can be reached on the move.

Tourism and culture

The flower parade and the story of Vincent van Gogh bring many visitors to the village. We give restaurants, shops and accommodation a reliable network with separate guest wifi and a daily backup.

Area

System administration in Zundert and the surrounding villages

The municipality consists of the village of Zundert together with Klein-Zundert, Rijsbergen, Achtmaal and Wernhout. It borders Belgium, with Wuustwezel and Hoogstraten among its neighbours. The village is known as the birthplace of Vincent van Gogh and for its flower parade, with floats covered in dahlias.

From Terneuzen we come through the tunnel under the Westerschelde and along the A58, and the A16 takes us right up to the border. We also work for businesses in neighbouring municipalities, such as Breda, Etten-Leur and Rucphen, and just across the border in Belgium.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about system administration in Zundert

We work with many temporary staff in the lifting season. How do you handle access?

We set up the accounts ahead of the season, with rights only to the systems each person really needs. So new workers can start on day one. After the season we disable the accounts again. You always see who has access, and your permanent data stays well protected.

Our nursery also has a greenhouse with a climate computer. Can you include it?

Yes, with Digital Care Agro. We then also monitor the technology in the greenhouse, such as climate computers for climate, water and dosing, and manage the greenhouse network, separate from the office. Managing the climate computer itself, such as updates and a backup of settings, happens in consultation with the supplier and within your growing windows. In case of a fault, we call in the supplier. Your growing suppliers get secure remote access, and we are their point of contact.

Part of our business is on Belgian soil. Can that be included in the same management?

Yes. The border makes little difference to us: we work for organisations in the Netherlands and Belgium. Both parts of your business get the same management, the same security and one set of documentation. We plan visits at whichever address needs one, on either side of the border.

Can we view our stock out in the field?

Yes. If your business software is in the cloud or on a well-secured server, you can reach it safely with a tablet or phone, even out on the plot. We provide wifi on the yard and around the sheds, and a secure way to sign in.

We currently do our IT ourselves. How do we get started with you?

With an introductory meeting, at your nursery or online. Then we map and document your entire environment. We take over management at a quiet moment, preferably outside the lifting season. From then on you have one dedicated contact who knows your business.
