From our head office in Terneuzen we drive through the Westerschelde Tunnel and along the A58 to Bergen op Zoom, then up the A4 to Steenbergen. Most management happens remotely. Questions about system administration in Steenbergen
We are growers near Dinteloord. Do you also manage our climate computer?
We monitor it with Digital Care Agro, together with the other technology in greenhouse and shed, such as energy systems, sensor gateways and cameras. We manage the process network, separate from the office but in one overview, with maintenance inside your growing windows. Managing the climate computer itself is possible in consultation with the supplier. In case of a fault, we call in the supplier, and for critical cultivation faults we do so outside office hours too.
Our business is out in the countryside. How do you ensure a good connection?
First we check which connections are available at your address and what your business needs. Where sensible, we add a second connection as a standby, so you can carry on when work is being done on one line. Our monitoring watches both lines, and we handle contact with the provider.
Can you take our busy harvest weeks into account?
Certainly. At the start, we draw up a calendar of the weeks when you want no maintenance, such as the harvest or a busy delivery period. We plan larger updates outside those weeks. During the busy weeks, monitoring keeps watch and we only step in when needed, always after checking with you.
Does NIS2 apply to our agrifood business?
That depends on what you do and how large you are. NIS2 can apply to medium-sized and large companies in the food chain, and buyers can pass requirements on to their suppliers. We work it out with you and list what is already in order and what still needs attention. Smart Compliance then keeps your measures organised.
We are based in Nieuw-Vossemeer. Is that not too far for you?
Not at all. We do most of the management remotely, so your location makes little difference to the daily work. For on-site work we plan a visit, in Nieuw-Vossemeer just as easily as in De Heen or in town. From Terneuzen we work throughout Zeeland and West Brabant, and the villages on the Volkerak sit right in between.
