System administration on the Hollands Diep

System administration in Moerdijk, from port estate to fortified town

The municipality of Moerdijk combines a large port and industrial area with small fortified towns and villages full of entrepreneurs. Many businesses here work on someone else's premises: at a plant, in a warehouse or at a project site. We make sure your IT goes with you securely, and that you can show it is in order.

What you get

IT that is ready at your own office and at your client's site

System administration covers all the IT behind the scenes: servers, network, backup and recovery, security, updates, monitoring, cloud and the suppliers around it. Around the port estate, many maintenance firms, installers, inspectors and logistics providers work for large industrial clients. Their teams are often on site, and their clients expect information to be handled with care. Infodatek Group has managed IT for organisations across the Benelux since 2007 and is itself ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certified. We set up your environment for that way of working.

  • Secure connections for project offices and temporary sites
  • Access for engineers who work on changing sites
  • Documentation that supports your clients' requirements
  • Proactive management with monitoring, updates and tested backups

Port area

System administration for businesses around the port of Moerdijk

On the Hollands Diep lies a port and industrial area with hundreds of companies in chemicals, energy and recycling, and a growing amount of large-scale storage and distribution. Goods arrive and leave by sea, inland waterway, rail, road and pipeline. Around the big players sits a ring of suppliers: from maintenance and inspection to cleaning, security and engineering.

Those suppliers need IT that is as professional as their craft. We take care of the basics: up-to-date systems, sign-in with two-step verification, clear permissions, encrypted storage and backups kept separate from your network. We document all of it, so for a contract or audit you can show how things are arranged.

On site

Securely connected from project sites in Moerdijk and beyond

Anyone working in the port is often away from their own office. During a maintenance shutdown or a large project, a project office sometimes runs for weeks on the client's premises, and engineers move from plant to plant. We connect a temporary site like that securely to your own environment, with its own line, a good firewall and access to exactly the systems the team needs.

Afterwards we tidy up: connections are closed, temporary permissions disappear and data is back in one central place. Your data lives in ANYBASE, our private cloud in a data centre in the European Union, or on your own server if that suits you better.

Demonstrable

Ready for the requirements of industrial clients

A cybersecurity audit first gives you an honest picture of where you stand and which steps deliver the most. Then we work through the improvements one by one. Smart Compliance keeps your measures and evidence together, so you can quickly show what you have arranged when a new contract comes along.

NIS2 can apply to medium-sized and larger companies in chemicals, energy, transport and waste management. Even if it does not apply to you directly, your client may pass the requirements down its supply chain. We work out together what you really need, and keep it practical.

Sectors

Where our system administration fits well here

From process industry on the Hollands Diep to fortified towns with marinas: the local economy is varied.

Maintenance and inspection

Maintenance, installation and inspection firms working on large industrial sites. We provide an environment that meets your clients' requirements and gives your teams secure access from every project site.

Storage and distribution

Warehouses and distribution centres on the port estate and the logistics park being added to it. We manage the servers behind your stock and planning and keep connections with customers stable and well secured.

Chemicals, energy and recycling

Process companies and their regular partners, where safety always comes first. We keep office IT apart from process environments, handle access by outside parties carefully and help with the requirements of NIS2.

Tourism and water sports

Marinas, restaurants and leisure businesses around Willemstad and the Hollands Diep. For them we arrange a reliable network with guest wifi, a secure environment for bookings and payments and a backup that runs every night.

Family businesses in the villages

Builders, farmers and service providers in the villages of the municipality. We take over their IT management, keep it clear and make sure accounts and business software run on a solid foundation.

Service area

System administration throughout Moerdijk and all its villages

Moerdijk is the name of the village on the Hollands Diep, of the port estate and of the whole municipality. We work in all of it: Zevenbergen, Klundert, Willemstad, Fijnaart, Standdaarbuiten, Zevenbergschen Hoek, Heijningen, Noordhoek, Langeweg, Helwijk and the village itself, and of course on the port and industrial estate.

The A16 and A17 meet here, and across the bridges you are soon in Dordrecht and Rotterdam. From our head office in Terneuzen we drive through the Westerschelde Tunnel and along the A58 and A17, and from Vianen via the A27 and A59. Most management happens remotely. For a project site, a server room or an introduction, we plan a visit.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about system administration in Moerdijk

We have a project office at a client's site during a maintenance shutdown. How do we connect it?

We set up the temporary site with its own connection and a firewall, and give the team access to exactly the systems it needs. If the client has its own rules for equipment on its premises, we follow them. After the project we close everything down neatly, so no loose ends are left in your environment.

Our engineers work at a different plant every week. How do they reach our systems securely?

Through a secure connection to your environment and sign-in with two-step verification. We arrange access by role, so an engineer sees their work orders and drawings and nothing more. If a laptop or phone goes missing, we can revoke access straight away. Your environment stays well shielded wherever your people work.

Do we need ISO 27001 certification ourselves?

Not always. Many clients mainly want to know whether you have taken the key measures and can back that up. Sometimes a certificate is a requirement. Infodatek Group is itself ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certified and knows what is involved. We help you decide what makes sense for your business and then take the steps that go with it.

We are based in Willemstad and have nothing to do with the port. Are we welcome too?

Of course. We work for organisations of all kinds and sizes, from SMEs to organisations with several hundred employees. For a marina, a restaurant or a service provider in one of the villages, we arrange system administration that suits your size, with one dedicated contact. For management and security together at a fixed price per employee, there is Managed Operations in Digital Care.

We have lots of different IT suppliers. Will you take over that contact?

Yes. First we map out which suppliers you have, from internet and telephony to your business software and printers. Then we become the point of contact for technical matters: we report faults, coordinate updates and keep track of when contracts end. You no longer have to work out where a problem lies.
