Thanks to its central position, many organisations choose the city as their base, with branches, shops or practices elsewhere. We link those sites to head office and the cloud through encrypted VPN connections, and manage everything from a single point.
Every new branch gets the same standard: the same firewall settings, the same wifi names and the same security. Colleagues who travel between sites connect automatically wherever they are. And because everything is monitored centrally, we can see how the connection performs at each location.

So we start with a survey on site. Then we decide where the access points go and how the network is divided, so every room gets good coverage. Meeting rooms, canteens and other spots where lots of people are online at once get extra capacity.

The nearest office is that of Select IT Professionals in Vianen, just across the Lek. Select IT has been part of Infodatek Group since November 2025. Monitoring and most management happen remotely. For a wifi survey, installing new equipment or an office move, an engineer comes to your location.

Frequently asked questions about network management in Utrecht
Our head office is in Utrecht and our branches are spread across the country. Can you manage all of them?
Yes. For management purposes it makes no difference where a branch is, because we monitor and configure networks remotely. We connect all sites securely to each other and to the cloud, and give them the same standard. If something needs installing or replacing at a location, we schedule a visit or work with someone on the spot.
Our office is in an old building in the city centre. Can we get good wifi there?
Certainly, although old buildings do call for good preparation. A survey on site shows how the signal travels through walls, stairwells and floors. Based on that we choose the position and number of access points, and where necessary we run an extra cable. You get good coverage without any building work on the property.
We share a multi-tenant building with other companies. How do we keep our network separate?
We give you your own shielded network with its own firewall, even if the cabling in the building is shared. Your wifi, printers and files are then visible only to your own colleagues. For visitors you can offer a separate guest network. We coordinate the technical side with the building manager, so you do not have to think about it.
What do home workers need to reach our network securely?
Usually no more than their managed laptop and an internet connection. Where needed, the laptop sets up an encrypted VPN connection to the office automatically. A lot of work now lives in Microsoft 365, in which case we secure access with two-factor authentication and the right settings. We make sure the firewall and the VPN server at the office are set up properly for this.
How do you keep an eye on our network?
With monitoring on your firewall, switches, access points and internet connections. We can see, for instance, when a connection slows down, an access point restarts or a switch needs an update. Often we resolve that remotely before anyone notices. In the regular review we discuss what stands out and whether the network still fits your organisation.
