Network management Breda

Network management in Breda, clear from the meter cupboard to the production hall

A network grows with your business: an extra switch here, a new access point there. Infodatek Group brings it back into line, keeps office and production neatly apart and watches over your connections. For businesses in the city and on the business parks around it, managed from Terneuzen.

What network management covers

From loose devices to one managed network

Network management is about the connections underneath your IT: the internet line, the firewall, the switches, the Wi-Fi, VPN for home workers and the links to other sites. In Breda we see many businesses that have grown fast over a few years. Their network has been extended bit by bit, with equipment from different brands and settings nobody fully knows any more. We map it all, turn it into one coherent whole and then manage it proactively. You get a regular point of contact and a network you understand inside out.

  • A full inventory and documentation of your network
  • Office, production, guests and cameras each on their own network
  • Video calls and cloud software given priority on the line
  • Monitoring of firewall, switches, Wi-Fi and internet connections

Back in order

A network in Breda that has grown, made clear again

It often starts with the provider's router and a couple of switches. Then come a second floor, a warehouse, home workers and a camera system. Each part does its job, but together they form a patchwork in which nobody quite knows which cable goes where.

We walk through your network, from the meter cupboard to the production hall, and record everything: which devices there are, how they are set up and what is due for replacement. Then we draw up a plan in logical steps.

Production and logistics

Office and production in Breda, each on its own network

In food production, manufacturing and logistics, more and more machines are connected to the network. Think of production lines, weighing systems, refrigeration and scanners in the warehouse. That equipment has different needs from an office laptop: it has to be reachable all day and does not always get updates as often.

So we put production and office in separate parts of the network, with the firewall as gatekeeper between them. Machine suppliers get secure remote access, only to their own equipment and only when agreed. Production keeps running and your accounts stay shielded.

Video calls and cloud

Teams and the cloud without the hiccups

Offices now work largely in Microsoft 365 and other cloud software, and hold many meetings by video call. That makes the internet line as essential as the power supply. We configure the firewall so that calls and your key applications get priority, and we check whether your line has enough room for the whole team.

A 4G or 5G backup connection takes over automatically if the fixed line briefly drops. Our monitoring shows how busy your connections are, so we can expand in good time as your team grows.

Close by in West Brabant

Network management for Breda, from Terneuzen

Our head office is in Terneuzen, on the Informaticastraat. From there we have worked since 2007 for organisations in Zeeland, Brabant and the rest of the Benelux. We manage your business network largely remotely: configuration, updates and monitoring run over a secure connection.

A branch across the border, for instance in the Antwerp area, is handled in exactly the same way. For a Wi-Fi survey or new equipment we come to you. And if you want network, security and workplaces in one agreement, Digital Care makes that possible.

Sectors

Where a good network makes the difference in Breda

Offices, education and hospitality in the centre, production and logistics on the business parks at the edge: each asks something different of the network.

Food and manufacturing

Production lines, refrigeration and weighing systems run on their own shielded network. Suppliers only reach them through secure access, and we schedule network maintenance around your production timetable.

Logistics along the A16 and A58

In the warehouses at Hazeldonk, Steenakker and Heilaar, scanners and forklift terminals run on Wi-Fi. We design coverage around racking and loading doors, and keep the warehouse network separate from the office.

Offices at Minervum and around the station

Consultancies, engineering firms and other offices spend the day on Teams calls. A well-tuned firewall, a backup connection and Wi-Fi with enough capacity in meeting rooms keep those conversations flowing.

Restaurants and hotels in the centre

Around the Grote Markt and the Havermarkt, tills, card terminals and guest Wi-Fi share the same building. We separate those networks, so the till is always reachable and guests enjoy a good connection, even on busy evenings.

Service area

Network management on the business parks and in the city

We work for businesses in the city centre and around the station, and on the business parks: Minervum and Hoogeind in Breda-Oost, Emer, Steenakker, Heilaar and Krogten, and Hazeldonk by the border. Organisations in neighbouring municipalities such as Zundert, Etten-Leur and Oosterhout are part of our area too.

Breda sits where the A16, the A27 and the A58 meet. From Terneuzen we come to you through the Westerschelde Tunnel and along the A58 for a survey, an installation or an introduction. Management and monitoring of your network happen remotely, so you never have to wait for someone to turn up at the door.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about network management in Breda

Nobody knows exactly how our network is put together any more. Where do you start?

With an inventory. We walk through your building, look at the equipment in the server cabinet and the meter cupboard, and read out the settings. From that we make a diagram and an overview, so you can see what is there and what condition it is in. Then we discuss which steps deliver the most and in what order to take them.

How do we give our machine supplier secure remote access?

Through a secure connection that only gives access to that supplier's equipment. We can open that access by appointment and close it again, and we record who logged in and when. That way the supplier can fix faults and install updates, while the rest of your network stays out of sight.

Our Teams calls sometimes stutter. Can you do anything about that?

Usually, yes. First we find out where it comes from: the internet line, the Wi-Fi in the meeting room or the firewall settings. Often it helps to give calls priority over other traffic, place access points better or upgrade the line. Our monitoring then shows whether it has worked.

Our second branch is just across the border in Belgium. Does that work the same way?

Yes. For the network the border makes little difference. We place a firewall at the Belgian site and connect it to Breda with an encrypted VPN. Colleagues then open the same files and applications, and we monitor both sites from one place. From Terneuzen, close to the border, we also work for organisations in Flanders.

What will we notice of network maintenance?

As little as possible. We schedule updates to the firewall, switches and access points for quiet times, and in a production business we align them with your schedule. Larger changes are prepared and tested in advance, so everyone can carry on as normal the next day.
