System administration Zeeuws-Vlaanderen

System administration for all of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, from coast to border

Between the Westerschelde and the Belgian border lies a region with its own character. Our head office sits right in the middle of it, in Terneuzen. From there we manage the IT of businesses in Sluis, Terneuzen and Hulst, with no water between us and you.

Our home region

Close by in the west, the centre and the east

Zeeuws-Vlaanderen is not an island, but it can feel like one. By land you can only reach it through Belgium, and the rest of Zeeland lies beyond the tunnel or the foot ferry. Business owners here like to sort things out themselves, and look for a partner round the corner for the rest. Since 2007, Infodatek Group has managed complete IT environments for SMEs and organisations across the region from Terneuzen: servers, network, backup, security, cloud and your suppliers.

  • Head office in Terneuzen, at the heart of the region
  • One contact person who knows how your business runs
  • Remote management, and on site from Cadzand to Clinge
  • Our way of working is audited to ISO 27001 and NEN 7510

No water in between

System administration in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen from within the region

To many IT firms, this area is 'the other side'. To us, it is home. From Informaticastraat we drive to Oostburg, Axel or Hulst without a tunnel or a ferry, which makes a visit easy to plan: for a new server, a refurbishment or a first chat at the kitchen table.

Even so, we drive less than you might think. Our monitoring keeps an eye on your systems, and updates, backups and small changes happen remotely. We save the travel time for visits that really add something.

Handover and growth

IT that carries on into the next generation

The region is full of family businesses: arable farmers, contractors, hauliers and installers who took over from their parents or hope to hand over to their children one day. Often the knowledge about the IT sits in one head, with the owner or a trusted acquaintance who 'always sorts it'.

We document your whole environment: which systems you have, how they fit together, who can access what and which agreements you have with suppliers. That documentation belongs to you and stays current. When the next generation takes the helm, it is all there in black and white.

  • An up-to-date overview of your systems and licences
  • Passwords and access rights managed centrally and securely
  • All supplier agreements in one place
  • A replacement plan, so you can budget ahead

Working with Flanders

Customers, suppliers and colleagues on both sides of the border

For many business owners here, Ghent, Bruges and Antwerp feel like their own back garden. Customers, suppliers and sometimes colleagues are across the border, so your IT needs to take that in its stride.

We make sure staff who live in Flanders can work securely from home or on the road, with the same protection as in the office. We keep an eye on the links with Belgian customers' and suppliers' systems, and a site in Belgium falls under the same agreements. To us, the border is mostly a line on the map.

Secure and forward-looking

How we keep your IT in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen up to date

For us, security is part of routine maintenance: timely updates, multi-step sign-in, a properly configured firewall and a regular test restore of your backups. Infodatek Group is certified to ISO 27001 and NEN 7510, so the way we handle your data is laid down in writing.

In a periodic meeting we look ahead: will the server need replacing in a few years, and is the cloud an option by then? For that we have ANYBASE, our own private cloud in a Tier 3 designed data centre in the European Union, plus Microsoft Azure where it fits. Want management and security in one agreement at a fixed price per employee? Then Digital Care is the answer.

Sectors

The economy of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, from polder to coast

The region is much more than its canal zone. These are the sectors we tailor our management to.

Arable farming and contracting

On the clay of the polders, arable farmers and contractors work with crop records, GPS data from the tractor and increasingly digital paperwork. We keep office, barn and workshop well connected and store all that data safely.

Holidays on the coast

From Cadzand-Bad to Breskens, campsites, holiday parks, hotels and restaurants rely on booking software, tills and guest wifi. We keep that technology dependable, so your team can focus on the guests all season.

Shops and restaurants with Flemish guests

Sluis draws plenty of Belgian visitors all year round. Shops and restaurants use tills, card terminals, web shops and stock systems that all need to work at once on busy days. We keep the technology behind the counter stable.

Care and welfare in the villages

GPs, pharmacies, home care and childcare are spread across dozens of villages. With our NEN 7510 certification and one managed environment, all those locations work securely with the same data and agreements.

System administration in West, Central and East Zeeuws-Vlaanderen

In the west we work for businesses in Oostburg, Breskens, Aardenburg and along the coast near Cadzand. Around Terneuzen, Axel and the canal zone we are on home ground. In the east we drive to Hulst, Kloosterzande and nearby villages, and all along the border, from Eede to Clinge.

Based among the fields, outside the villages? Then we work out together which connection lets you work comfortably in the cloud. A branch on Walcheren, the Bevelanden or in Flanders comes along too, and from our second office in Vianen we reach the rest of the country.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about system administration in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen

What is the advantage of an IT partner from Zeeuws-Vlaanderen itself?

Short lines of communication. Our colleagues know which internet providers serve the countryside and how close your Flemish customers and suppliers are. A visit never involves a tunnel or ferry. And with 38 colleagues, you still have a complete team for management, security, cloud, software and AI behind you.

Our long-standing IT person is stopping. How do you take over?

Ideally together with them. We go through the environment side by side and write down everything that now lives in someone's head: passwords, licences, suppliers and the quirks of your systems. If that is not possible, we map it ourselves. Then we take over step by step, so your business keeps running.

A few colleagues live in Belgium and partly work from home. Can that be done securely?

Yes. Wherever someone lives, they sign in securely in several steps, on a device that we manage and keep updated. The data stays in your own managed environment, in Microsoft 365 or in ANYBASE. So for your IT it makes no difference whether a colleague is at the kitchen table in Sas van Gent or in Zelzate.

We are in the middle of the polder. Can we still work well in the cloud?

Usually, yes. We first check what your address offers in fibre, cable or mobile connections, and choose the best option together. A second line as a backup is possible too. Where it makes more sense, we keep part of your systems on site and move the rest to the cloud, so you work comfortably at any address.
