IT for greenhouse horticulture, from greenhouse to office
In a greenhouse business the technology runs day and night, and by no means only in the office. Infodatek Group monitors the technology in the greenhouse and packing shed and manages the network and office IT, with agri specialists who know how horticulture works in practice. From the Westland to Agriport A7 near Middenmeer, and across the rest of the Netherlands.
A modern greenhouse business is a technical business too. The climate computer controls climate, irrigation and fertigation, the energy system supplies heat and power, and in the shed the grading and production lines keep moving. There is also an office with workstations, Microsoft 365 and software for sales and administration. Often each part has its own supplier and nobody oversees the whole. With Digital Care Agro, we do. We monitor the technology in the greenhouse and shed and manage the greenhouse network and the office IT, with a single point of contact.

Digital Care Agro
What Digital Care Agro takes care of for growers
Digital Care is our own platform. Its Managed Operations module manages and secures your IT for a fixed price per employee: workstations, servers, network, Microsoft 365 and backup. Digital Care Agro is an add-on to it, designed for horticulture and agriculture. Greenhouse and office then share one overview and the same service desk.
Agro brings the technology in the greenhouse and the shed into scope. We monitor those systems, spot deviations early and know exactly whom to call when something comes up. That leaves you more time for your crop, your buyers and your people.

Energy systems for heat and power
Grading and production lines in the shed
Sensor gateways and camera systems
The process network that ties it all together
Process network
Greenhouse and office apart, but in one overview
On many sites the network has grown over the years. A new section was added, an extra grading line, a camera at the entrance. As a result the climate control, the office PCs and visitors' phones sometimes end up on the same network. We start by mapping all of that calmly.
Then we separate the greenhouse and process network from the office network. Each part gets its own space and its own rules, so a busy moment or a problem in the office never reaches your climate control. For you it stays one whole: a single overview shows how the entire business is doing. And because a greenhouse is large and often humid, we make sure the network and wifi hold up right to the back of the greenhouse and throughout the shed.
Growing windows
Maintenance that moves with your crop
In horticulture you want to avoid an update at the wrong moment. That is why we schedule maintenance only within the growing windows we agree together, and work on growing systems always in consultation with the supplier. During a sensitive stage of your crop, everything stays as it is.
Backups of your climate computer settings and firmware updates are arranged in consultation with the supplier. When a crop-critical fault affects climate, irrigation or fertigation, we follow up outside office hours too and call in the supplier. So there is someone you can count on at night and at weekends.
Suppliers and seasons
One point of contact, also for your horticultural suppliers
A growing business works with many specialists: the supplier of the climate computer, the installer of the energy system, the builder of the grading line. We are their fixed point of contact. We coordinate work and give suppliers secure remote access, only to their own systems and only when it has been agreed.
At the height of the season extra people often join, in the greenhouse and in the shed. Network, accounts and devices move with that, and seasonal invoicing is possible. For medium-sized and large businesses in the food chain, NIS2 may apply. We help with measures and documentation through Smart Compliance, as a partner that is itself ISO 27001 certified.
Digital Care Agro suits businesses where the technology in the greenhouse and shed matters just as much as the office IT. A few examples.
Vegetables under glass
Tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and other greenhouse vegetables need a climate that is right day and night. We keep an eye on the climate computers, sensors and process network, and make sure your crop consultant can look in securely from a distance.
Flowers and pot plants
Flowers and plants often move quickly through the shed, along grading, packing and labelling lines. We monitor those lines and make sure the scanners and the link with your order processing run reliably, including in the busiest weeks of the year.
Breeding and propagation
Breeding and propagation depend on precision and on knowledge you want to protect well. We set up access carefully, store settings and data securely and bring trial greenhouses and office together in one overview.
Trade and logistics
Trading houses and exporters work to tight schedules, with links to buyers and many people in the hall. We manage the office, the scanners and the wifi in the shed, so orders leave on time and without hassle.
Farming beyond the greenhouse
Arable farmers and other agricultural businesses also work with sensors, storage buildings, grading lines and software for their crops. Digital Care Agro is there for them as well: shed, yard and office in one overview.
Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions about IT in greenhouse horticulture
Do you manage our climate computer as well?
With Digital Care Agro we monitor your climate computers and manage the network they run on. Managing the computer itself, such as backups of settings and the firmware, is possible in consultation with the supplier. In case of a fault, we call in the supplier. The growing decisions stay with you and your crop consultant, and the supplier gets secure remote access from us. That way everyone knows who is responsible for what.
Can we count on you outside office hours?
Yes. For crop-critical faults in climate, irrigation or fertigation we follow up in the evening, at night and at weekends too. Beforehand we agree together what counts as crop-critical for your business and whom we should reach. Other questions, such as a laptop that will not start or a new user, we pick up during office hours through the service desk.
Do we need to buy different growing software or equipment?
No. Your climate computers, energy systems and grading lines stay as they are. We first map what is there and take over the management of the network and equipment around them. If we see improvements, such as a cleaner split between greenhouse and office or wifi with more reach, we discuss them in the periodic strategy meeting. You decide what happens.
How do you handle seasonal workers?
They are simply part of it. We make sure new people quickly have an account, the right permissions and a working device, and that the wifi in the greenhouse and shed can handle the extra traffic. After the season we tidy up the accounts. Because seasonal invoicing is possible, the arrangement follows the way your year runs.
Does NIS2 apply to our growing business?
That depends on what you do and how large you are. NIS2 may apply to medium-sized and large businesses in the food chain, and even if it does not apply to you, buyers increasingly ask about your security. We go through it with you and help with measures and documentation through Smart Compliance, so you can show it whenever someone asks.
Do you only work in the Westland and around Middenmeer?
No. We are very active in the Westland and around Agriport A7, but we work for growers throughout the Netherlands, from Terneuzen (Zeeland) and Vianen (Utrecht). Select IT in Vianen, part of Infodatek Group since November 2025, focuses on Digital Care Agro. Most of the management happens remotely, and we visit your site whenever that is useful.
