Cybersecurity Zeeland

Cybersecurity in Zeeland, from audit to monitoring

Know where your security stands, and keep it there while you get on with your work. Infodatek Group helps organisations across Zeeland with an independent security audit, security as an ongoing service and training for your team. All arranged from our head office in Terneuzen.

Security in the province

Peace of mind about security, so you can move on

Businesses in the province often work together in chains: around the port and the industry along the Westerschelde, in the food chain and in healthcare. Large clients want to know whether their partners have their security in order, and NIS2 applies to some organisations. First you get an honest picture of where things stand, then we keep your security up to date while technology changes. Audits and management come from one team, working from Terneuzen.

  • A security audit with a report that your board and your IT administrator can both read
  • Monitoring by a SOC that steps in at night too when something is not right
  • Training and practice emails, so colleagues recognise what lands in their inbox
  • A file for customer requirements and NIS2, kept up to date with Smart Compliance

Security audit

A security audit for your organisation in Zeeland

Many organisations start with an audit. We agree the scope together beforehand. Usually we look at four things: the technology from network to cloud, access rights, recovery from your backup and the arrangements around your IT. Most of the investigation is done remotely. If your environment calls for it, we spend a day with you, whether you are in Hulst, Middelburg or Zierikzee.

You receive a report with the findings in order of urgency. At the front is a summary your board can get through quickly, at the back the details an administrator can act on straight away. If your IT is managed by another party, you simply pass the report on to them.

Security as a service

Continuously protected, even when the office is closed

Rather not keep it up yourself afterwards? Then we take over the security of your environment. We divide your network into logical segments, protect laptops, PCs and servers, and install patches on a fixed schedule. A managed SIEM collects the signals from across your environment, and a SOC assesses them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If something is not right, the SOC acts immediately, for example by blocking a suspicious sign-in or taking a device off the network. You then receive a report in plain language, and our team in Terneuzen handles the follow-up. If you use Digital Care, our own platform, you can add this monitoring as MDR. In the Elite edition it is included as standard.

Port, industry and supply chain

Security you can show to clients in Zeeland

If you supply the chemical industry in the Kanaalzone, businesses in the Sloegebied or a care organisation, you get more and more questions about your security. Sometimes in a questionnaire, sometimes in a contract. Organisations that fall under NIS2 also have to take a critical look at their suppliers.

In Smart Compliance we keep track of the measures you have taken, who has access to what and how recovery is arranged. Your security work then produces evidence for NIS2, ISO 27001 or NEN 7510 at the same time. When a client asks, your file is ready.

Your team is part of it

Colleagues who know what to look out for

Technology does a lot, but your people make the difference. Our awareness training teaches colleagues to recognise a fake email, an odd payment request or a suspicious link. That can be online, with practice emails and a progress report, or in a classroom session for up to ten people.

Handy for seasonal work: new staff take the online training in their first week.

Sectors in the province

What security asks of businesses here

Every sector has its own data to protect. A few examples from close to home.

Port, chemicals and suppliers

Maintenance companies, installers and technical service providers around North Sea Port work for large industrial clients. Those clients set requirements for their supply chain. With an audit and an up-to-date file, you show that your security matches what they ask.

Health and social care

Care organisations handle medical data, often at locations spread across the islands. Our NEN 7510 certification matches the standard that applies to them, and round-the-clock monitoring ensures a suspicious sign-in is noticed quickly.

Holiday parks and hospitality

Campsites, holiday parks and hotels process guest bookings and payment details, with many seasonal staff. We separate the guest network from your business systems and train new colleagues from their first day.

Businesses with a Flemish branch

If you are based in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, you often work across the border too. NIS2 is a European directive and applies in Belgium just as well. We secure both sites in the same way, so you have one approach and one overview.

Where we work

Cybersecurity across Zeeland, from Terneuzen

Our head office is on Informaticastraat in Terneuzen. We do most security work remotely: the monitoring, the follow-up of alerts from the SOC and most of every audit. So for quality it makes no difference whether you are in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, on Walcheren or on Schouwen-Duiveland.

For on-site investigation, group training or going through the report, we come to you. Through the Westerscheldetunnel we drive to Zuid-Beveland and Walcheren, and over the Zeelandbrug to Schouwen-Duiveland. Sites outside Zeeland are simply included.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about Cybersecurity in Zeeland

A large client at the port wants to know how our security is organised. Where do we start?

With a security audit. Then you know exactly where you stand and which points deserve attention first. The report lets you show your client that you take it seriously. After that we tackle the improvements, or you do it yourself. Everything that has been arranged goes into your file, so the next questionnaire is quicker.

Our IT is managed by another local company. Can you still do an audit?

Yes. An audit is valuable precisely because it is independent. You are free to share the outcome, including with your current IT provider, and we do not put a quote in it. What you do with the results is up to you.

Do you need to visit us for the audit?

Not always. We do most of the investigation remotely, after a conversation about what we will look at. If your organisation has its own server room, a production site or several branches, we usually plan a day on location. We do that throughout the province.

We take on lots of seasonal staff in summer. How do we keep them alert?

With a short online training that new colleagues take in their first few days, and practice emails that show whether it has stuck. We also set up accounts so seasonal staff only reach the systems they need, and close that access neatly at the end of the season.

Our branch in Flanders falls under NIS2 as well. Can you include it?

Yes. NIS2 applies throughout the European Union, including Belgium. We secure your Dutch and Flemish sites in the same way and keep one file for the whole organisation. We work out together with you which Belgian rules apply to your branch.
