Meet our new colleagues
By Vital Hids

Infodatek is growing fast and, as a result, is attracting a lot of young talent. You won't find trendy terms such as "rockstar" programmer or "growth hacker" in our job descriptions, and that suits our down-to-earth company culture. Last February our team was strengthened by 4 new employees: Gert-jan, Nils, Vital and Sander. Because we think it is important that our clients have a picture of the person they are in touch with, we asked the guys to introduce themselves.
Gert-jan van Klinken
My name is Gert-Jan van Klinken, I am 23 years old and I live in Nieuwerkerk.
I am an IT student at HZ University of Applied Sciences. In my spare time I enjoy kickboxing, working out at the gym and programming. Before this, I did my work placement at Saman.
There I built a system that merges and cleans up customer information.
I also gained experience during various projects in my studies, such as building an app in Flutter that gives guided tours to visually impaired people.
Besides that, I work on various projects of my own, such as a livestreaming service for bands and a marketplace for online items.
At Infodatek I will be researching different ways to separate reporting data from operational data. Based on this research, I will come up with a solution. I will then work out the solution and (partly) implement it. The work involved is analysing, designing, building and advising.
At Infodatek I want to develop further as a programmer, so that I learn more about best practices in certain software structures. I also want to develop my communication skills, so that I can get information across more clearly.
I have well developed research skills. This means I can easily gather information from a variety of sources.

Nils Berends
Hello! My name is Nils Berends, and I have been working at Infodatek since February 2022. I am 29 and I live in Middelburg. For the past 5 years I worked in Northern Ireland for a global telecommunications company, where I trained new members of the customer support team. Before that, I trained in social care (MMZ) and worked in healthcare for a year.
Once I was back in the Netherlands, I went looking for a role where I could both work with people and pursue my passion for technology.
Infodatek offers me the perfect combination of the two, as a Microsoft 365 trainer. In this role I will mainly focus on designing material and delivering training sessions.
In the future I hope to specialise further and gain certifications that will help me develop my current skills.
What you can expect from me is training that puts the interests of the participants first, so that together we can make new technology accessible to everyone!

Vital Hids
Hey, my name is Vital Hids. I am studying International Business at HZ in Vlissingen and I am in my final year. I live in Axel, so the distance to Terneuzen is very manageable.
Before I started my graduation internship at Infodatek, I did an internship at the Fnac head office in Paris. There I worked as a digital marketer for the French and Belgian market. I was responsible for creating marketing campaigns such as "Ready, Set, Fnaction" and "40 years of FNAC".
At Infodatek I will be working as an online marketer for their software RentMagic. Within the marketing department I will be working on things such as Google Ads campaigns, writing customer cases, customer visits and writing content.
For my graduation project I will be working out the best way for RentMagic to approach the French market.
I want to develop myself further in digital marketing so that I can help Infodatek position itself in France.

Sander Geldof
My name is Sander Geldof, I am 25 years young and I currently live in IJzendijke. I recently graduated as an application and software developer (MBO level 4).
Before Infodatek, I spent years working in various parts of the hospitality industry and did internships in IT and education.
For my graduation internship I wanted a placement as close as possible to beautiful Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. I soon got in touch with Infodatek and it clicked straight away. I learned a lot during my graduation internship, and at the end of it I decided to continue my career at Infodatek.
Now that my final internship has come to an end, I can focus fully on development for Infodatek. This means I work on developing systems, reports and customer-focused solutions.
At Infodatek I hope to develop myself further in back-end solutions, knowledge of database operations and communication skills.
