There are several technologies for integrating the Infodatek web shop, which applies to the B2B web shop as well as to the B2C web shop. Below a list of those technologies.
Web services
The most modern integration technology is by means of web services, which is a technology for transmitting data over the Internet and allowing programmatic access to that data using standard Internet protocols. It is an interface between several applications (in this case the webs hop and the back office application) that is accessible via standard web protocols. Communication takes place via XML without human interference. Web services are often applied in SOAP applications, which is a very popular form for the renewal of existing applications.

CSV files (plain text)
A common and often used method for the integration of 2 applications is a two way CSV files system. Via FTP or Secure FTP files are sent from one application to another. Data are transmitted without any overhead (extra fields containing information). The order of the fields is agreed in advance.

XML files
Another possibility is transmitting XML files via FTP or Secure FTP. This is also done in a two way system. The information is almost the same as the information that is exchanged in the web services system, however the method of transport is different. Extra field information is present in the XML files.
